The WACUBO Community College Committee (CCC) act as a liaison between the CCC’s of WACUBO, its Board of Directors and its committees. The CCC shall promote the needs of the community colleges to all areas of WACUBO. This includes providing advisory functions to officers and committees of WACUBO in the planning and conducting of programs, and includes communication to the membership of opportunities for continued professional development and participation in WACUBO events and leadership.
The WACUBO CCC:
promotes the needs of community colleges to WACUBO;
functions in an advisory capacity to the officers and committees of WACUBO in the planning and provision of programs targeted at these institutions;
communicates with the institutions regarding their issues and needs;
highlights professional development opportunities within WACUBO; and
encourages staff from these institutions to participate in WACUBO events and leadership activities.
The WACUBO CCC will develop an annual plan and discuss with the Board of Directors a summary of issues and professional development needs of the community colleges. The plan will:
include short-term and long-term strategies for addressing issues and needs;
articulate the needs of the community colleges as identified through surveys or other tools;
identify strategies for communication and engaging the members; and
provide recommendations on professional development needs and programs to the Professional Development Committee.
The WACUBO CCC will:
provide direction to the Annual Meeting Planning Committee to ensure the issues and needs of the community colleges are addressed;
assist the Professional Development Committee in developing and implementing professional development workshops for the community colleges; and
submit to the WACUBO Board on an annual basis the goals and objectives of the CCC over the coming year.
