WACUBO’s Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Excellence

WACUBO is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion excellence in all aspects of culture, activities, and people. As a professional development organization for practicing and aspiring business officers serving higher education, WACUBO values, champions, and creates a welcoming environment inclusive of all personal and professional identities. WACUBO demonstrates its commitment in the following ways:

  • Recognize that categories of diversity are cultural constructs that are deeply rooted in personal history and experiences
  • Acknowledge systemic marginalization and injustices
  • Practice inclusivity to:
    • Develop a culture of awareness around diversity, equity, and inclusion and model behavior accordingly
    • Consider diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of programming including topics, people, and logistics
    • Include diverse representation within the leadership, volunteers, faculty, speakers, and business partners at all levels of WACUBO

The WACUBO Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee is interested in getting feedback on the newly approved Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Excellence Statement. The chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is Carina Celesia Moore, who can be reached at [email protected].
