Welcome to Salt Lake City
You’re coming for the workshops—but don’t miss the chance to explore all that Salt Lake has to offer while you’re here. Whether you're squeezing in a walk after the last session, meeting up with colleagues for a night out, or arriving early to soak in the city, Salt Lake City in November is crisp, walkable, and full of contrast. While it’s not quite ski season yet, the cooler temperatures create the perfect atmosphere for cozy dinners, crisp urban strolls, and a taste of mountain culture.
With its easy-to-navigate downtown, public transit, TRAX, and vibrant food scenes, Salt Lake offers a refreshing backdrop for professional growth, connection, and a little personal exploration before or after the workshops.

Extend Your Stay & Explore
If you’re arriving early or staying after the conference, here are a few ways to make the most of your time:
Shop & Stroll:
- City Creek Center offers indoor-outdoor shopping with beautiful design and dozens of restaurants (easily reached by TRAX).
- Take a self-guided walk around the historic Asher Adams Hotel for incredible architecture and grab a coffee or cocktail at the on-site restaurant.
Coffee, Culture & Conversations:
- Sip at local favorites like Bonnie and Clyde’s, which doubles as a speakeasy after dark, or the charming Eva’s Bakery.
- Explore the Salt Lake City Public Library or dive into innovation at The Leonardo Museum—both just a few blocks from the conference hotel.
- Perched above the city at the base of the foothills, the Natural History Museum of Utah is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the region. The stunning architecture alone is worth the trip, but inside you’ll find exhibits on dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, geology, and the Great Salt Lake. Just a short drive or rideshare from downtown, it’s a perfect outing after the workshops.
Neighborhood Vibes:
- Visit the locally loved 9th & 9th district for boutique shopping and eclectic eats. Just a short ride from downtown, this walkable
- Take a short ride to Sugar House, one of Salt Lake’s oldest neighborhoods filled with parks, Salt Lake’s first Bar Hall Sugar House Station, and locally loved stores.
Take a Scenic Drive to Park City
Looking for a memorable evening outing? Just a 40-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake, Park City’s historic Main Street offers a charming mountain-town experience. In November, the snow usually hasn’t hit full force yet, so road conditions along I-80 are generally clear—just check the forecast and drive cautiously as temperatures drop in the evening. It's a beautiful and easy escape for dinner, especially if you want a taste of the Wasatch Mountains without hitting the slopes.
Planning Your Trip
Everything you need is close by! the airport is just 15 minutes away, public transportation (TRAX) is easy and free downtown, and most restaurants and attractions are within walking distance. Whether you extend your stay or just explore after sessions, Salt Lake will surprise you—in the best way.
